Cardinal Glass Maintenance Technician

CLiC Maintenance Technicians will support the Smart Glass manufacturing line performing routine equipment preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and spare parts inventory. This role will be responsible for ensuring equipment uptime, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining a safe work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Technicians will need strong troubleshooting skills and understand pneumatics, industrial electrical, controls systems and mechanical processes
  • Perform routine and specialized maintenance on highly automated, state-of-the-art glass production equipment. Equipment includes:
    • Fanuc Robots
    • Vacuum Chambers
    • Laser systems
    • Glass Laminators
    • Dispense systems
    • Cleanrooms
  • Preventative maintenance on production and assembly equipment
  • Basic electrical and mechanical understanding
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Document activities as appropriate - i.e. logbook, inspection walk throughs, etc.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment
  • Suggest equipment modifications to increase machine efficiency and improve quality.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement activities
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to ensure plant goals are met
  • Additional Projects as needed by Leadership

What We Are Looking For

  • A two-year degree or equivalent experience in a maintenance related field
  • Must have ability to troubleshoot and repair with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Physically capable of manual labor including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching. This requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
  • Experience in electronics, glass, or precision manufacturing
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.Written and Verbally.
  • Cleanroom experience
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize computer software's and equipment interfaces
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft reports.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment to safety and an orderly and safe workplace.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, including all levels of coworkers and vendors.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement in decision making, ideas, and all aspects relating to the CLiC team, Cardinal, and other company relationships.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: $29.00 - $40.00
